Connections are schematic, not navigation or actual boat/snorkel tracks. Boat line shows a representative wildlife area only; the operator selects the sea route and snorkel site. The Simon’s Town snorkel pin is a shore alternative, not a second included booking. Vehicle, walking, boat and cable modes are distinct. Stay pins are areas, not reserved properties.

Primary marine day: Hout Bay ocean safari plus a guided kelp snorkel if suitable. Seals are viewed from the boat. Confirm swimming ability, wetsuit fit and conditions with the operator.

≈ €770±€210
2 Hermanus double-room nights · €110

2 room nights × €110. Example: Windsor Hotel, linked from Hermanus Tourism. The allowance is not a confirmed 23–25 November rate; request a current room total for two.

≈ €220±€60
De Hoop accommodation · two unit-nights for two
Estimate basis

2 × €220 target allowance for a suitable cottage/unit, without meals. The operator’s downloadable 2025–26 tariff ends before this trip; request a 25–27 November quote. Confirm actual bathroom/kitchen setup and avoid paying for a large villa minimum occupancy. Reconcile the meals row if choosing a catered package.

≈ €440±€160
Meals for two · 12 local days
Estimate basis

12 days × €60 for two (€30 per person/day). Example menu: Fireman’s Arms lists breakfast R110, burger R165 and fish & chips R162–199. Allowance also covers other meals, drinks and tips; hotel-included breakfasts may reduce it.

≈ €720±€180

Estimate basis

10 × €65/day allowance for 18–27 November; a conservative charged-day count pending collection/return times. Get a dated quote including cover and all fees. Licence, physical-card/deposit approval and gravel-road permission are booking gates; N26 debit is not assumed accepted.

Model: about 1,000 km × 7 L/100 km = 70 L; €105 fuel using an assumed €1.50/L + €45 parking/toll reserve. These are planning inputs, not a live exchange rate or pump quote. Replace with actual route, consumption and current coastal fuel price.

≈ €150±€60

Estimate basis

2 × €200 allowance for one combined outing. Animal Ocean publishes R2,950/person with snorkelling, R1,950 safari-only; exact November availability is unverified. Kelptown is a shore-based replacement option: confirm the two-person total. Do not add both unless you want and pay for two outings.

≈ €400±€100
De Hoop gate & guest conservation fees · two adults
Estimate basis

Allowance for two, subject to a current overnight quote. CapeNature lists R60 adult day access, while the accommodation operator lists overnight gate charges and a separate R250 guest/stay conservation, heritage & community fee. Confirm which fees apply and whether admission is daily or per stay; these are not interchangeable tariffs.

≈ €80±€30
De Hoop guided nature drive & marine walk for two
Estimate basis

Model: two adults × two activities × €40. The nature drive and tide-based marine walk are real operator products; current November activity prices need a quote. Remove this row if they are already included in your room package.

≈ €160±€80
Insurance, connectivity & small extras
Estimate basis

Model split: €80 insurance + €30 mobile data for two + €70 incidental reserve. Example providers: HanseMerkur travel medical cover and Airalo South Africa eSIMs. Eligibility, cover and package selection determine real prices; the €70 reserve has no supplier quote. Existing suitable insurance could reduce this line.

≈ €180±€70
Total for 2≈ €5,990±€1,910
What’s included & how we estimated it

EUR figures are model allowances with added margins, not live quotes or exchange-rate conversions. Flight, accommodation, meal, transport, activity and fee rows are separate. One combined marine-safari/snorkel is budgeted; any second outing, whale cruise, Big Five safari, city-history ticket, wine day or Agulhas detour is extra. Keep weather cancellation flexibility. Deposits/card holds require additional liquidity. Every row includes an example or tariff source; obtain dated totals before booking.

Transport, travel time & every connection 17 connections
Collect the rental in Cape Town on 18 November and return it on 27 November before the office closes; ten charged days are budgeted conservatively, pending exact times. Prearrange airport transfers on arrival and departure. Drive on the left and in daylight. Confirm Slovak licence/IDP or translation rules, a physical card in the main driver’s name, N26 debit acceptance, deposit, excess and cancellation terms with the exact branch. De Hoop has gravel access and internal roads: obtain permission and check tyre/windscreen cover. Use the reserve directions and verify weather, gate hours and road condition. If these requirements cannot be met, choose A or obtain a private-transfer quote; that alternative is not costed here.

16–29 November 2026 · 2 Slovak adults living in Germany · Frankfurt departure. Assumed CPT arrival 17 November, eleven local hotel nights, CPT departure 28 November and Frankfurt arrival by 29 November. Rental-car interest confirmed; one potential driver, age 32, Slovak/EU licence and N26 debit. Route B models ten charged rental days, with pickup 18 November and return 27 November; exact collection/return times and terms need confirmation. Dates and profile carried over from the existing planners; no flight, hotel, tour or rental inventory has been confirmed.

Route B best matches animals, snorkelling and nature: Cape Town, Hermanus and two nights in De Hoop with a rental car. Route A is the one-base fallback if you decide against driving. Both include a marine safari with a planned kelp snorkel, subject to conditions. Cape water is cold: this is a thick-wetsuit experience, rather than tropical reef snorkelling. De Hoop offers antelope and zebra viewing; neither route includes a Big Five safari.

November nature & snorkelling fit
Plan for outdoor spring days, changeable mountain weather and sea cancellations. Snorkelling is cold-water kelp exploration with a guide and full wetsuit. Keep 19, 20 and 22 November interchangeable for the marine booking. No flight, room, rental or activity inventory is confirmed. If warm tropical snorkelling is essential, Cape Town may not meet that requirement. Seasonal weather.
Water activities & wildlife distance
Use a guided, condition-dependent snorkel with suitable wetsuit and confirmed swimming requirements. Keep away from seals on land and in water: the City reports confirmed seal rabies cases. The plan views seals from boats and does not include seal swimming. If a seal behaves unusually, leave the water; a bite or scratch needs immediate medical assessment. At De Hoop, rock-pool entry is optional and requires suitable tide, swell and local advice. Choose a coastal walk if sea entry is unsuitable.
Entry & practical preparation
For the assumed Slovak passports, the Slovak foreign ministry currently states visa-free short visits up to 90 days, passport validity at least 30 days after departure and two blank visa pages. Recheck against your actual passports and routing. Slovak official guidance. SARS requires an online traveller customs declaration before entering and leaving South Africa from 1 July 2026; retain confirmation. Review transit and vaccination requirements for the actual flight routing before payment.
Rental car, gravel access & safe nature days
Route B uses a rental from 18–27 November; ten charged days are allowed. Collect in the city after arrival and return before the final city night. Confirm the exact branch’s licence/IDP, physical-card, deposit and insurance rules, including foreign N26 debit acceptance. De Hoop access and internal roads include gravel: confirm permission and tyre/windscreen cover. Use official reserve directions and gate hours, drive in daylight and book secure parking. Use guided/group mountain hikes and locally advised daytime coastal paths. Example rental branch.
